	This program and its innovative presentation design will expand need-to-know information for all pedestrians by consistently communicating important safety concerns, warnings, and potential hazards.
	The course promotes communication among employees pertaining to site hazards and unsafe conditions so that corrective action can be taken before an incident / accident happens.
	This approach to pedestrian safety provides information to employees on how to respond to unavoidable job hazards, how to report them, and how to escape from them.
	This program coaches the evaluator and the presenter through the "Pedestrian Safety Awareness Facility Assessment" and the course "Instructor Guide" concerning issues on how to recognize unsafe conditions and convey need-to-know information to ensure everyone's safety.
	Experience has proven that retention is higher when an instructor presents specific relevant information compared to videotapes and other static methods of training.

Retention of information from videotape on a safety topic after one week averages 18 percent or less. This system facilitates active involvement of participants via an instructor, which will provide a retention percentage of over 60 percent.
